How does pricing work? Is this a subscription?
No subscription. No credits. No hidden fees.
You purchase Chat Video Pro once. AI generations are billed directly by the model provider (Fal.ai, Google, OpenAI, etc.) at true market-cost pricing — not inflated reseller rates.
You only pay for what you generate. It’s the cheapest way to use Sora-level tools inside Premiere.
How is this different from using ChatGPT or Claude in a browser?
Browser AI tools are great, but they require you to export your footage, upload it, generate content, download results, and reimport — all while leaving Premiere. Chat Video Pro runs inside Premiere as a CEP panel, so prompts execute directly on your timeline.
Story Cutter reads your active sequence’s transcript to create rough cuts without any file export. Studio tools generate video or images and drop them directly onto your sequence. You also pay wholesale Fal.ai pricing (typically ~$10/month) instead of multiple separate subscriptions.
How much do AI video and image generations cost?
Depends on the model. Typical ranges:
- Video (Sora, VEO, Kling, Hailuo, Wan): $0.03–$0.08 per second (entry) / $0.10–$0.25 per second (high-end cinematic)
- Images: ~$0.002–$0.02 per image
Most creators spend less per month than a single subscription app.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes — within 7 calendar days of purchase, you can request a 7-day money-back on the Chat Video Pro license if it doesn’t fit your workflow. AI credit add-ons, separately sold Studio modules, and any Fal.ai usage you’ve consumed are non-refundable. Bundle extras (LUT packs, templates, presets) are also non-refundable digital downloads. Refunds are processed via Lemon Squeezy.

Does Chat Video Pro slow down Premiere Pro?
No. It’s lightweight, sandboxed, and doesn’t touch playback or export performance. You can keep editing while generations run in the background.
Is my media private? Where do my prompts and keys go?
Your Fal.ai API key and license are stored locally on your device. Prompts and timeline media go directly from your machine to the model provider you chose (Fal.ai, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) — Chat Video Pro never proxies, stores, or trains on your prompts, footage, or generated outputs.
The panel can collect anonymous usage telemetry — error reports and feature-usage counts (e.g. "AI Transitions opened", "render failed") — through PostHog. This is opt-in, scrubbed of personal data, and helps us prioritize fixes and new features. You can disable it anytime under Gear → Settings → Privacy. We never log your prompts, keys, project paths, or media.
Does Chat Video Pro work with the Premiere Pro BETA?
Yes — fully compatible. It works with the latest stable Adobe features as well as the evolving timeline APIs in the BETA branch.
Does this work on Mac and Windows?
Yes — fully supported on Intel Mac, all Apple Silicon (M-series) chips, and Windows 10/11.
Can I install this on multiple computers?
Each license activates one machine at a time. You can move your single license between your own devices (desktop ↔ laptop) by deactivating on one before signing in on the other — just not simultaneously.
Need both running at once? The Workflow Bundle includes 2 license keys out of the box, and you can purchase additional keys at checkout for extra workstations or team members.
Does this work with After Effects?
Not yet — Premiere Pro only. The After Effects version is in development.
What version of Premiere Pro do I need?
Premiere Pro 2025 or newer (version 25.0+) is required. 2026 is recommended for the smoothest experience.
Premiere 2024 and earlier will not load the panel due to CEP requirements.

Can I bring my own Fal.ai key, or do you provide one?
Bring your own. You create a free Fal.ai account, generate a key, and paste it into Chat Video Pro during setup.
There’s no markup — you pay FAL’s published wholesale rates directly. Your key stays local on your device.
Does it work offline?
Editing actions (Story Cutter on existing transcripts, browsing the panel) work offline.
AI generation jobs (video, images, transcription via cloud Whisper, chat) require internet because they go to Fal.ai or your chosen LLM provider.
License validation is local — once activated, you don’t need internet to open the panel.
Is my footage uploaded to a cloud somewhere?
Only the specific frames or clips you submit to a generation job. When you click “Generate”, Chat Video Pro sends just that asset to Fal.ai (or the model provider you chose).
It never bulk-uploads your project, timeline, or media library. After the job completes, the asset is no longer needed by the provider per FAL’s data policy.
What happens to my work if I uninstall Chat Video Pro?
Your Premiere project, sequences, and rendered/generated clips stay exactly where they are — they’re standard files on your drive that Premiere can open without our panel.
The panel is a CEP extension; uninstalling removes only the panel UI, not your work.
Does it support multicam, nested sequences, and proxies?
Yes. Story Cutter follows multicam selections and nested sequence boundaries. Generated clips drop onto whatever track you target, including inside nested sequences.
Proxies work like normal — generated assets are real media that Premiere proxies natively if you have proxy settings configured.
What models are supported?
Across every modality:
- Video: Sora, VEO, Kling, Hailuo, Seedance, Wan.
- Image: Imagen, Flux, Recraft, Bria, Topaz Crisp.
- Chat: GPT, Claude, Gemini.
- Transcription: Whisper (local) + cloud Whisper.

Will my unused FAL credits transfer if I refund?
FAL credits live in your Fal.ai account, not in Chat Video Pro. Your FAL balance is unaffected by a Chat Video Pro refund — it stays in your FAL account for whatever you want to use it on.
